Medequip Community Equipment Service is dedicated to enhancing independent living through the provision of essential mobility equipment. Commissioned to deliver the Integrated Community Equipment Loan Service (ICELS) for Essex and Partners, the service encompasses the supply, delivery, installation, repair, maintenance, collection, and recycling of community equipment. Equipment is provided free of charge and on a loan basis, once prescribed by a Health or Social Care Professional.

The service operates from Monday to Saturday, 8 am to 6 pm, offering a range of equipment to meet individual needs. Access to the service can be initiated by a referral from a GP or an assessment by the Council's Social Care Team. Equipment can be returned via a call, email, or by visiting one of the local drop-off points.
