Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 May 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TrustedIn.uk ("the Service"), operated by Feelter Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service — whether as a visitor, a registered business owner, or a subscriber — you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Where we refer to "you" we mean any person accessing the Service, including business owners who have claimed a listing and subscribers to any paid plan.
2. What TrustedIn.uk is
TrustedIn.uk is a UK business directory. We aggregate publicly available information about UK businesses and provide tools for business owners to claim, verify, manage and promote their listings. The platform includes a free tier, paid subscription plans, and a marketplace where business owners can purchase additional visibility and AI-powered tools.
We do not guarantee any specific commercial outcome as a result of using the platform. Visibility improvements from subscriptions, boosts and AI tools depend on many factors outside our control, including search engine behaviour and market conditions.
3. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You must provide accurate, complete and up-to-date information when registering.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. We are not liable for losses caused by unauthorised access resulting from your failure to protect your login details.
- One account per business owner. You may manage multiple listings from a single account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or cause harm to other users or the platform.
4. Business listings
- Listings may be pre-populated with publicly sourced business information. The existence of a listing does not imply endorsement of the business.
- You may only claim a listing for a business you own or are formally authorised to represent. We may request proof of that authorisation at any time.
- All information you submit — including descriptions, images and contact details — must be accurate, truthful and not misleading. You must not impersonate another business or person.
- By submitting content (text, images, or other media) to TrustedIn.uk, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and distribute that content as part of the directory service.
- We reserve the right to edit, remove or restrict listings that violate these Terms, contain inappropriate content, or are the subject of a credible dispute regarding ownership.
- We reserve the right to remove any listing — without prior notice to the business owner — that we determine, at our sole discretion, to promote, facilitate or be associated with illegal activity, content that is harmful, exploitative or grossly offensive, or any conduct that conflicts with our values or could bring the platform into disrepute. This right is exercised to protect the integrity of the directory and the interests of users who rely on it.
- If you believe a listing contains incorrect information about your business and you are the verified owner, contact us at [email protected].
5. Subscriptions
- Paid plans (Pro and Premium) are billed annually. The exact price at the time of purchase is shown at checkout and in your account dashboard.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price. We will notify you by email before any renewal, giving you time to cancel if you do not wish to continue.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period; you retain access to paid features until then.
- We may change subscription pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Any change takes effect at your next renewal, not mid-term.
- Subscription benefits (such as position boosts and marketplace tools) are tied to your active plan. If your subscription lapses, those benefits are removed.
6. Marketplace purchases
- The marketplace offers one-time purchases including position boosts, AI add-ons and industry research articles.
- Marketplace items are digital products delivered immediately upon purchase. They are consumed when activated or accessed.
- Position boosts are applied to your listing for a defined duration from activation. The boost period is not paused or extended for any reason once started.
- Research articles are made available to your account immediately upon purchase.
- Voucher codes and discounts are applied at checkout and cannot be applied retrospectively. Only one voucher may be applied per transaction.
7. Refunds
We want you to be satisfied with TrustedIn.uk. Our refund policy is designed to be fair to both sides.
One-time marketplace purchases
One-time purchases — including research articles, AI add-ons and position boosts — are non-refundable once delivered or activated. These are digital products that are consumed immediately upon access. If you experience a technical fault that prevented delivery, contact us within 7 days and we will investigate and remedy the issue.
Subscriptions — 14-day cooling-off period
If you are not satisfied with your subscription, you may request a full or partial refund within 14 days of the original purchase date, no questions asked, subject to the following fair-use calculation:
- If you have not used any paid features or consumed any included benefits during that period, we will refund the full amount paid.
- If you have used paid features — for example, AI content enrichment, exclusive marketplace tools, or activated position boosts — we will deduct a prorated amount reflecting the time the subscription was active and any services consumed.
- If your subscription included one-time benefits (such as a gifted Pro plan to a third party, or free research articles that were accessed), the retail value of those benefits will be deducted from the refund, as they cannot be reversed.
- The remaining balance after any such deductions will be refunded to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
To request a refund, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account, stating your reason. We will respond within 3 business days.
Renewals
Automatic renewal charges are not refundable after the renewal date unless there was a billing error on our part. If you did not intend to renew, please ensure you cancel before your renewal date — we send reminder emails in advance to help you do this.
8. AI-powered features
Certain subscription plans include access to AI-powered tools that generate or enhance listing content, including descriptions, imagery and SEO optimisation. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content is provided as a starting point and may require your review and editing before publication.
- You are responsible for the accuracy of any AI-generated content that you publish on your listing. We do not accept liability for factual errors in AI output that you have chosen to publish.
- AI usage is subject to fair-use limits that vary by plan. We reserve the right to throttle or restrict usage that exceeds those limits or appears automated.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Submit false, misleading or fraudulent information — including fabricated reviews, fake business details or misrepresentation of ownership.
- Scrape, crawl or harvest data from the Service by automated means without our prior written permission.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, its underlying infrastructure, or another user's account.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or the servers and networks connected to it.
- Use the platform to transmit spam, unsolicited communications or malicious content.
- Abuse the refund policy, dispute resolution process, or any promotional offer.
Violations of this section may result in immediate account suspension or termination without refund.
10. Intellectual property
The Service — including its design, branding, code, copy and structure — is owned by or licensed to Feelter Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our prior written permission. Business data submitted by you remains yours; the licence granted in section 4 applies only for the purpose of operating the directory.
11. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers including Stripe for payment processing and Cloudflare for network security and delivery. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the actions, availability or policies of third-party services.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, the accuracy of all listing information (which may be sourced from public data), or any specific commercial outcome from using paid features.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Feelter Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising out of your use of or inability to use the Service — including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or damage to reputation — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other matter that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may update these Terms, pricing, features or the structure of the Service from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify registered users by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you are based in the EU, nothing in this clause affects any mandatory rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
