About
The Italian Fountain, located in Unknown, is a serene and picturesque monument featuring stunning sculptures from the turn of the nineteenth century. These sculptures, depicting Sea Nymphs of Greek Mythology, were originally part of the collection of financier Whitaker Wright. After his downfall, the statues were purchased by Sir Ratan Tata, who relocated them to his estate by the River Thames. The fountain is now a peaceful spot for relaxation and picnics, offering a glimpse into London's rich history.
Open to the public, the Italian Fountain is wheelchair accessible and a great spot for families with children. The site has undergone restorations to preserve its historical integrity and beauty.
