Wapping Dock in Liverpool is a remarkable historical landmark, featuring a Grade II listed Hydraulic tower from 1856 designed by Jesse Hartley. The structure boasts a battered granite rubble base with a Tudor-arched opening and an octagonal upper part made of brick with rusticated stone quoins. The east face of the tower bears the date of construction. The site offers a battlemented parapet on granite machicolation and a one-storey granite block at the rear with Tudor-arched windows and an entrance.
Open daily from 5 AM to 10 PM, Wapping Dock provides a serene environment for visitors to enjoy the scenic views, especially towards the Liverpool Wheel. The landmark is wheelchair accessible, making it a convenient spot for all to appreciate.
